SHIBARI DANCE

Shibari is more than technique — it is presence, trust, and expression. In a 1 on 1 experience with Sacred Tie, the focus is entirely on you and your unique path. These private sessions are curated to meet your comfort level & curiosity, whether you are exploring rope for the very first time, deepening your practice, or seeking a transformative way to connect with yourself. Every knot, every pause, every breath is guided by safety, consent, artistry & connection.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Each session begins with an open conversation to understand your goals, desires, and boundaries.
From there, the journey unfolds as a
collaboration — a blend of technique, creativity, and care:

FOUNDATIONAL
EXPLORATION

Foundational Exploration is the first step into the Sacred Tie journey. This beginner-friendly class is fully guided, hands-on, and open for people to watch and learn from every angle. Students come in with all kinds of feelings—curious, excited, nervous, open—and that’s exactly what this space is built for. You’ll learn the basics of rope handling, simple knots, and how to stay connected to your body and your partner. The Sacred Tie  atmosphere blends a little ritual, a little art, and a little healing work so you can explore safely while reconnecting with your own essence and presence.

By the end of this level, students walk out with real growth they can feel. You’ll gain confidence with beginner knots, clearer communication skills, more emotional awareness, and a grounded sense of being in your body. You’ll start letting go of old patterns, opening new space for yourself, and understanding connection—both with others and within yourself—on a deeper level. This is where the journey begins, and everything that comes next is built on the presence you learn here.

MINDFUL
CONNECTION

Mindful Connection is all about slowing down and tuning into what’s happening inside your body and between you and your partner. In this stage, students learn how breath, eye contact, and simple presence create a deeper sense of grounding. The focus isn’t on doing anything complicated—it’s about feeling the moment, noticing subtle shifts, and letting gentle tension guide you into a more settled, connected state. This is where people start to understand how rope, breath, and awareness can work together to create a calm, steady rhythm.

By the end of this level, students begin to feel the difference that mindful attention makes. They discover how soft tension can release stress, how breathing with intention creates trust, and how being fully present changes the entire experience of connection. It’s a simple practice with a big impact—helping people feel safe, centered, and more in touch with themselves and the person in front of them.

Artistic
Expression

Artistic Expression is where students start to explore the beauty side of rope. Instead of focusing only on technique, this stage invites you to see your body—or your partner’s body—as a living canvas. The ties become lines, curves, and shapes that highlight flow, movement, and form. It’s a space where creativity opens up and you get to play with how rope can frame the body, tell a story, or create a moment that feels visually and emotionally meaningful.

By the end of this level, students begin to understand how art and connection blend together. You’ll learn how to tie with intention, how to move with the rope, and how simple patterns can look elegant when matched with breath and presence. This is where people tap into their expressive side—discovering a style that feels natural to them and building confidence in creating something beautiful through rope.

INTEGRATION
+ AFTERCARE

Integration & Aftercare is the final part of every session, where everything slows down and settles into the body. This is the moment to breathe, reconnect, and let the experience sink in. Students are guided through simple grounding practices, gentle touch, and reflection so their nervous system can return to a calm, steady place. It’s a space to check in with yourself, notice what shifted, and honor the experience you just had.

By the end of this stage, students leave feeling balanced, supported, and clear. Aftercare helps release any leftover tension, brings emotions back into harmony, and gives you time to understand your own responses. Whether it’s through soothing contact, conversation, journaling, or rest, the goal is to make sure you walk away feeling held, centered, and fully integrated. It completes the journey in a way that feels safe, mindful, and deeply respectful.

Entertainment

A Dance of Connection

Shibari dancing is where rope and movement become poetry, a blend of elegance, trust, and raw emotion. The audience will feel the rhythm of connection as each knot and motion reveals a silent dialogue between tension and release, stillness and flow. It’s not just seen, it’s felt.

CONSENT AS AN
ONGOING CONVERSATION

Consent is never assumed, never implied, and never permanent.
It is a living dialogue that shifts moment to moment.

OUR FOCUS:

INTENTIONS

Begin each session with a clear conversation about boundaries, comfort levels, and intentions.

COMMUNICATION

Encourage participants to voice their needs at any time — no explanation required.

BOUNDARIES

Honor “no,” “stop,” or “pause” as full sentences, respected immediately.

AGREEMENTS

Revisit agreements as the session unfolds, ensuring both partners remain aligned.

SAFETY FIRST
Always

Rope can be grounding, powerful, and profoundly beautiful, but like any art involving the body, it carries risk. Our approach is designed to protect while deepening connection:

  • Rope Safety: We use only high quality rope suited for Shibari, inspected before every session.

  • Body Safety:  We avoid ties that create harmful pressure points or restrict circulation.

  • Emergency Preparedness: Safety scissors are always close at hand; every tie is designed to be released quickly if needed.

  • Education: Participants learn not only technique, but anatomy awareness and aftercare essentials.

YOUR BODY
YOUR SAFETY
YOUR CHOICE

Whether you join us for a private lesson, a group workshop, or a boudoir session, your safety and comfort remain the highest priority. You will never be asked to move beyond your boundaries, and you always have the right to pause, shift direction, or stop entirely. Check out our Safety + Consent page here.
